Racing for a cure to end alzheimer’s

Monterey Can Am winner and noted vintage racer Byron DeFoor started Fifty Plus Racing with Brian Johnson, front man for the classic rock and roll band AC/DC, and a group of dedicated racers—all over the age of fifty!

The Fifty Plus Racing team debuted on the track in 2012 at Daytona International Speedway at its 50th Anniversary of Road Racing. In 2015, Fifty Plus Racing competed at the 54th anniversary of the Rolex 24 At Daytona. The world’s best drivers competed on the demanding 3.56-mile road course.

DeFoor owns and races numerous high-horsepower race cars, BMW GT cars, and the Prototype Gen 3 Riley. Founder of  Grace Healthcare, he owns and manages nursing, assisted living, and rehabilitation facilities across the United States. His commitment to Alzheimer’s research through the Highway to Help campaign expresses his commitment to the elders he serves.
